Kasarani Stadium was filled with excitement and joy from Kenyans as they celebrated Harambee Stars beating Zambia.

Fans waved flags and sang in unison, showcasing unity and passion for the national team.

Kenya’s Harambee Stars played against Zambia at Moi International Sports Complex, Kasarani with a crucial goal against Zambia.

Kenya secured a lone strike, which came in the second half and was scored by Ryan Ogam.

The goal sent the home crowd into wild celebrations as fans cheered the team’s spirited performance.

Football fans at Tom Mboya Street watching Harambee Stars celebrated by singing and dancing.

Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula congratulated Harambee Stars, saying they have made Kenya proud.

“The happiness all over the country is sponsored by Harambee Stars. Congratulations boys for the outstanding performance today!” he said.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah said, “Absolute class. Absolute brilliance, grit, flair, and teamwork at its best. Harambee Stars."

“Brian Ogam, Man of the Match! What a performance, what a victory! Kenya edges Zambia 1–0 in CHAN 2025, with Ogam’s brilliance sealing the win,” he said.

“Harambee Stars, you’ve made the nation proud once again, undaunted, unbeaten, unstoppable!”

"Congratulations, Harambee Stars, on your fantastic 1-0 victory over Zambia! Your skill, teamwork, and determination shone through. Very Proud of you guys! Kenya Moja!" Water CS Eric Mugaa said.

Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy named the first 11 players for today’s CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 match.

The 11 are: Shikhallo Faruk, Abud Omar, Mike Kibwage, Alpha Onyango, Austine Odhiambo, Lewis Bandi, Wesley Ogam, Ben Stanley Omondi, David Sakwa, Marvin Nabwire, Sylvester Owino.

The Subs are Bryne Omondi, Mohammed Siraji, Edward Omondi, Bonface Muchiri, Chrispine Erambo, Ayoub Mouloua, Manzur Okwaro, Daniel Sakari, Kevin Okumu, Sepstianos Wekesa, and Felix Oluoch.

Harambee Stars have booked a place in the quarterfinals of the African Nations Championship, but are leaving nothing to chance as they face Zambia in their final Group A match on Sunday.

The team, guided by coach McCarthy, tops the group with seven points from two wins and a draw, one point ahead of Morocco and DR Congo.

Angola sits third, while Zambia trails at the bottom with no points.
