The crash, which occurred in Ghana’s Ashanti Region on Wednesday, has prompted President John Dramani Mahama to suspend all his scheduled activities for the rest of the week in honour of the victims.

According to a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), the Ghanaian government has declared three days of national mourning, beginning Thursday, August 7.

The statement emphasised that the period would be marked with solemnity and reflection, urging citizens to unite in grief and remembrance.
