Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen and his Cooperatives counterpart Wycliffe Oparanya will appear before the senate to respond to various queries from lawmakers.

Oparanya will tell lawmakers whether he could order a forensic audit on the liquidation account of the Moi University Savings and Credit Society (MUSCO) and disclose the findings of such audit.

He will also explain the steps the ministry has taken to facilitate involvement of the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA), County Government of Uasin Gishu, Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC), MUSCO members and other relevant stakeholders in the liquidation process.

National Youth Week

The Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports will unveil the 2025 National Youth Week (NYW) and International Youth Day (IYD) under the theme "Empowering Local Youth Action for Global SDG Impact."

Running from August 6-12, 2025 across seven counties, the celebrations will highlight youth efforts in governance, innovation, entrepreneurship, mental wellness, agriculture, and climate action.

The climax will be held on August 12 at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Kakamega County, featuring a Presidential Kikao with Youth.

IEBC holds consultative meeting with media

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission will hold a consultative meeting with the media from 7 am at Radisson Blu, Upper Hill.

The meeting will review the partnership and collaboration between IEBC and the media during the 2022 General Elections.

It will also establish a sustainable and collaborative working relationship between the Commission and media organisations in preparation for the next General Elections and explore strategies for effective communication and the role of the media in disseminating key activities of the commission.

CS Rebecca Miano to oversee landmark KTB–FKF partnership deal

Tourism and Wildlife CS Rebecca Miano will preside over the official signing of a strategic partnership between the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) and the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

The event will take place at the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Offices – NSSF Building, 20th Floor, from 1:30 PM.

The partnership aims to harness the power of football to promote Kenya as a premier tourist destination, exploring areas of synergy that align the sport with tourism promotion efforts.

Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports CS Salim Mvurya, FKF President Hussein Mohammed, Kenya Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer June Chepkemei, FKF General Secretary / CEO Harold Ndege and other senior officials and stakeholders from both sectors will grace the event.
