Thousands of football fans thronged Thika Super Highway on Sunday afternoon as they made their way to the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, for Harambee Stars’ opening match in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) against the Leopards of DR Congo.

With kick-off set for 3pm, supporters began arriving in large numbers, donning national team colours and waving Kenyan flags, turning the busy highway into a sea of red, black, green, and white.
