PRESIDENT William Ruto’s administration has intensified
efforts, led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, to consolidate Kenya Kwanza’s
influence in Mt Kenya amid fierce political rivalry with former Deputy
President Rigathi Gachagua.
Gachagua,
who was impeached in October last year, has rebranded himself as an opposition
leader, mobilising the region through his new Democracy for Citizens
Party.
