Speaking in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, during an economic empowerment event, Kindiki said the spirit of unity seen in the Ruto-Raila collaboration is yielding tangible benefits across the country, especially in regions that had long felt sidelined.
“In the broad-based government led by President Ruto, we are determined to deliver development to every corner of Kenya. There is no room for exclusion or marginalisation anymore,” Kindiki stated.
The Deputy President commended Raila for putting the country first, noting that “Raila has sacrificed his personal ambitions for national progress, and that deserves respect.”
“We respect him for what he has done for our country. He has made sure his own interests don’t supersede the nation’s."
The visit comes amid accelerated development efforts in Nyanza, where sugar factories are being revived through public-private partnerships, roads long stalled are back on track, and electricity, markets, and housing programs are expanding.
Kindiki cited the Mamboleo–Miwani–Muhoroni–Chemelil road construction, 17 new markets in progress, and affordable housing units in Lumumba Estate and local institutions.
He also linked these gains to a bigger political vision: “This is why we say we need two terms, to finish reviving our industries, build more homes, expand electricity, and improve healthcare systems.”
Kindiki’s remarks were echoed by a large, bipartisan team of leaders present, signaling political realignment around shared development goals.
They included National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Kisumu Deputy Governor Matthews Owili, MPs Ruth Odinga (Kisumu Woman Rep, host), Millie Odhiambo (Suba North, Minority Whip), Ruben Kiborek (Mogotio), Junet Mohamed (Suna East, Minority Leader), John Bwire (Taveta) and Mwengi Mutuse (Kibwezi West) among seven others.
He also used it to encourage residents to continue enrolling into the SHA health scheme, reassuring them of the government’s commitment to better service delivery.
