National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah has slammed the Opposition outfit for what he termed as mobilising Kenyans around hatred and incitement.

Speaking in Emurua Dikirr, Narok county, Ichung’wah said they must stop rallying Kenyans around issues that can result in breaching peaceful co-existence in the country.

He reiterated that the opposition must get an agenda around which they can mobilise Kenyans.

The Kikuyu MP reiterated that if they want President William Ruto out of office, they must wait for the 2027 general elections to do that.

“If you want William Ruto to leave office, wait for 2027. Get an agenda and mobilise people around your agenda. Stop mobilising Kenyans around hatred, incitement and around issues that will cause despondency and breach of peace in our country,” Ichung’wah said.

The MP had accompanied Deputy President Kithure Kindiki for an empowerment program to uplift women's groups and Saccos. Ichung’wah insisted that Kenyans desire peace and leaders with an agenda and a vision for taking the country forward.

He urged President William Ruto and DP Kindiki to stay focused on the goal, which is to make the lives of Kenyans better than they found them.

The legislator told off leaders who want to use the blood of innocent Kenyans to get to power. He insisted that the people of Kenya would not allow this to happen.

“Your Excellency, Deputy President, please, do not allow yourself to be diverted from the focus you and President William Ruto have on delivering to the people of Kenya on the promises we made to them," he said.

“Those who want to dissuade you from focusing on the work you were given by the people of Kenya, together with William Ruto, we want to tell them that if you imagine that you will cause chaos and seize power on the blood of innocent Kenyans, the people will not allow you. The people of Kenya desire peace, leaders who have an agenda, a vision and are focused on delivery."
