Detectives are investigating an incident where a woman was found murdered after a domestic fight in Kuresoi area, Nakuru County.
The incident happened in Sirikwa
area, Karirikania centre where the body of one Faith
Cherono, 30 was lying in a pool of blood on the floor of a rental house after
suspected murder on July 8.
Police established that the woman who was a worker at a local flower firm was murdered by a man believed to be her boyfriend who is also a co-worker at the same farm.
The co-worker is said to have escaped immediately after the incident.
The body had deep
cuts on the back of the head, neck, on both hands and back which were suspected
to be inflicted using a sharp object.
Police said a blood
stained panga and a knife were recovered at the scene and were suspected to be
the murder weapons.
The body was moved
to the mortuary pending investigations and autopsy.
In the same area, a 71-year-old man was hacked to
death in an altercation.
Police said the assailant is at large and efforts to arrest him are ongoing.
And the body of a man was found abandoned in
a sorghum farm in a village in Rarieda, Siaya County.
The body was later identified as that
of Evans Oluoch who had been hit by a blunt object and left for death.
Police said the body
was moved to the mortuary after the discovery on July 8 pending autopsy.
Meanwhile, police in
Kilifi are holding a woman who buried an infant left to her for care after
suspected murder.
The police said they
had identified where the shallow freshly dug grave was and efforts to exhume
the remains were ongoing Wednesday as part of the probe into the incident.
The woman confessed
to the police about the incident, hence the new developments.
The motive is yet to
be established, police said.
