The body parts were moved to the mortuary pending the identification process involving DNA testing.

Elsewhere in Katito, Kisumu County,  a woman was found murdered and her body dumped on the roadside.

The naked body had a deep cut on its head and blood stains on it.

Police said the woman identified as Rose Atieno was killed elsewhere, and the body was dumped at the scene.

A man accused of battering her was later arrested pending investigations into the July 4 incident.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

In Ishiara, Mbeere, Embu County, the body of one Nyaga Mukundi, 56 was found on the roadside after suspected murder.

Police said blood was oozing from his mouth when it was discovered.

The motive of the murder is yet to be established, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
