A lawmaker who in the not-so-distant past used to traverse
the country, has suddenly gone silent. His colleagues were overhead over the
weekend whispering how the man supposedly miscalculated his political steps
especially when he refused to play ball leading to his relegation from the
sanctum of power. Even his social media timelines, once flooded with photos of
meetings and media sound bites have gone eerily cold. While allies claim he is
strategising, his detractors believe the silence is proof that the power, now
gone and not patriotism, drove his cross-country tours.

Handlers of a governor are worried that he might soon be
addicted to drugs. The well-known county boss is understood to have always been
taking a puff of bhang, since his youthful days. The substance makes him very
lively and bold when he takes to the stage and interacts with the public. Years
ago, he was however introduced to a potent variety of his favourite drug, which
is shipped in from a nearby country. The politician is whispered to now be
hooked to the potent variety of the drug, and has to smoke it several times a
day, alarming those close to him. Many wonder what example the governor is
setting to the public, especially the youth.

A fiery politico holding a top seat in a politically charged
county has allegedly become a master of disappearing from his own party
leader's events including those in his county. The governor, known for his bold
tongue and firm ideological stance, has been conspicuously missing from recent
meetings, rallies and even development functions graced by the party leader.
Whether this cold war will explode into a full-blown rebellion is a matter of
time, but one thing is for sure, the governor’s diary reportedly remains
carefully curated to avoid any meeting with the boss.

A second timer Woman Representative is a worried person
after her staff members accused her together with her management of supposedly
holding their salaries in a fixed deposit account and trading with the monies
before finally releasing them after they have accrued debts and being
threatened for eviction by their respective landlords. They are now appealing
to the leadership of Parliament to come to their rescue by changing structures
through which salaries are paid. They are requesting if they can be paid
directly to their accounts. Many staff suffer in silence.
