A 32-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Ngenia, Tigoni, Kiambu County.

Police said Valentine Wanjiku succumbed to multiple stab wounds sustained while walking with another man. The suspect, according to police and witnesses, is believed to be her former boyfriend.

The attack occurred as Wanjiku and the man arrived at their home in the Ngenia Makaburini area on Sunday morning. She suffered deep wounds to the neck, right thigh, and left leg.

She was rushed to Tigoni Level Four Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said they are pursuing the suspect, who was known to the victim. The motive of the attack remains unclear.

Elsewhere, in the Vitengeni area of Kilifi, a 75-year-old man was found murdered in what police described as a brutal killing.

The body of Gonzi Tinga Kalo was discovered on his farm, lying in a pool of blood about 150 meters from his house.

It had two deep cuts—on the back of the head and face. His left wrist was injured, and his right ankle had been severed.

Police said his maize plantation had been destroyed during the incident.

A mobile phone, a knife, a wallet containing Sh260, and his national ID card were found at the scene. Investigations are ongoing, and the motive remains unknown.

In Mwangulu, Kwale County, 70-year-old Mwamkono Chaka was hacked to death outside his house.

Police said his wife, who was inside at the time, managed to escape as assailants attacked her husband, killing him on the spot on Saturday night. The motive has not yet been established.

The bodies have been moved to the mortuary for autopsy.

Police say such murders, which often target the elderly, are common in the region and are largely linked to land disputes. Most victims are elderly men believed to be involved in unresolved land matters.
