Deputy President Kithure Kindiki stole the show in Kitui South when he broke into dance, joining the women dancers during the Constituency Economic Empowerment Programme.
Kindiki, in his speech, affirmed the government's commitment to grassroots development, saying Kenyans will soon see the value of their taxes in key sectors.
Speaking during the Kitui South Constituency Economic Empowerment Programme, Kindiki said the Kenya Kwanza administration is focused on delivering accountable leadership.
“We are an accountable government and the people will soon see value of their taxes in roads, markets, affordable housing, last mile connectivity and other transformative development programmes,” said the Deputy President.
The programme brought together women, youth, Jua Kali artisans and boda boda SACCOs from the region.
Kindiki praised the initiative as a model for economic empowerment, saying it aligns with the government’s bottom-up economic transformation agenda.

Present during the event were Farouk Kibet, MPs Rachel Nyamai Kaki (Kitui South), Vincent Musyoka Kawaya (Mwala), Caleb Mule (Machakos Town), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East).
Others were Mwengi Mutuse (Kibwezi West), Joshua Mwalyo (Musinga), Titus Khamala (Lurambi), Innocent Mugabe (Likuyani), John Bwire (Taveta), Senator Tabitha Mutinda, among others.
