

Police are investigating an
incident where a 25-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a falling gas
cylinder near a residential house in Embakasi, Nairobi.
Police said a man identified as James Ndungu, 25, was found dead on the roadside after he was hit on the head by a falling gas cylinder on Monday afternoon.
Witnesses said a gas cylinder dropped from a residential building and hit Ndungu on the head, sustaining fatal injuries.
Police visited the scene and recovered a gas cylinder.
The source of the cylinder was yet to be known, but police said it came from one of the houses in the multi-storeyed building.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
The team is investigating the source of the cylinder.
Elsewhere, detectives are investigating an incident where the body of a man was found on the roadside after a suspected murder in Mutuini area, Dagoretti, Nairobi.
The body was discovered on Monday morning near Gitiba Primary School, long after the murder.
The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
Police said the body had physical head injuries and blood was oozing from the mouth.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
In Runyenjes, Embu County, police are investigating murder after a minor aged one month was found dead.
The mother and grandmother of the child were detained for interrogation over the murder.
This is after an autopsy indicated the child was murdered.
In Kiritiri, Embu County, a man was found dead in a farm after a suspected murder.
The body of Michael Muriuki Njagi, 65, was found in the farm with his head smashed with a stone.
The man lived alone at the time of the incident.
Police said a son-in-law found the body in the farm long after he had died.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known.
