President William Ruto is set to begin a three-day tour of the Nyanza region today ahead of the Madaraka Day celebrations on Sunday, June 1, in Homa Bay County.

He will start in Kisumu by commissioning 901 units under phase one of the LAPFUND Makasembo affordable housing project, which targets 1,870 units upon completion.

Ruto will then proceed to Kirembe to launch the Lake Victoria Point affordable housing project.

Kalonzo to host opposition bigwigs  

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka will today host a section of opposition leaders at his Tseikuru home.

DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua, former CS Fred Matiang’i, People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua, and DAP-K chief Eugene Wamalwa are among those expected to attend.

The team is expected to sit in a closed-door meeting to draft a political system in preparation for 2027.

ROCHE, MOH

The Ministry of Health, led by CS Aden Duale, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ROCHE to formalise a collaboration aimed at reducing the cost of cancer drugs for breast cancer patients in Kenya.

The event will be held at Afya House, Nairobi, from 9 am.
