Eric Chepkwony in a past event/HANDOUTBomet Governor Hillary Barchok has expressed sorrow following the death of the county’s Chief Officer for Finance, ICT, and Economic Planning, Erick Chepkwony.
In a heartfelt message, Barchok said he was shocked and in disbelief upon learning of Chepkwony’s untimely passing.
He stated that the late officer was vibrant and full of life just hours before the tragic news broke.
“My heart goes out to his family, the people of Bomet, and the KTDA, as we come to terms with the devastating news,” Barchok said.
He also extended his prayers and support to the bereaved family, assuring them that the county government would stand with them during this difficult time.
The cause of his death is yet to be established.
Reports indicate that he collapsed and passed on Wednesday evening in Nairobi.
