Kenya Power has listed areas in some counties to face power interruptions on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
The power company said areas in six counties will face power cuts at diverse times between 9 am to 5 pm.
Counties to be affected are Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Murang’a, Kitui, Vihiga and Homa Bay.
The power interruption facilitates system maintenance.
Nairobi
Parts of Nairobi will face power cuts from 9 am to 3 pm.
The areas are the whole of Kabarak Univ, Kabarak Guest House, Kabarak High School, Kabarak Bakery, Lower Mangu, Lengenet, Muricho, Lusaka, Shalom A and Ngesumin.
Uasin Gishu
Areas in Uasin Gishu will face power disruption from 8 am to 5 pm.
The areas are Lugari Station, Mufutu, Lugari Boys', Mukhuyu, Lunyito, Frank and adjacent customers.
Murang’a
Parts of Murang’a will face power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.
The areas are Kamahuha Girls, Shangai, Sabasaba Market, Githembe Market, Sabasaba Water and Gathuri Primary.
Kitui
Parts of Kitui are scheduled for power interruption from 9 am to 5 pm.
They include Kitooni, Kanyangii, Ilengi, Nzambia, Kangukangu Water, Kanyongonyo, Kanyangii Borehole and adjacent customers.
Vihiga
Areas in Vihiga will face power interruption from 8.30 am to 5 pm.
They include Busweta, Chamakanga, Busali Union, Elunyu, Mululu, Bigina, Wangulu, Mukenye, Vokoli Girls, Naftali, Kwa Shem, Gilagiru, Mudungu, Nabwami, Gaumbwa, Weng'ondo, Gavudia, Chakombero, Sabatia and Chavogere.
Homa Bay
Parts of Homa Bay set for power cuts from 8 am to 4 pm include the whole of Homa Bay Town, Hamaline, Rangwe, Imbo, Olare, Asumbi, Maliera, Mbita, Luanda, Rodi Kopany, Rusinga, Waondo and adjacent customers.
