Police are investigating an incident where a man reported his girlfriend had collapsed and died in their house in Githurai, Nairobi.
The body of Cathrene Soila, 26, was found on the floor in the house with injuries to the head, forehead and lips.
The lips seemed to have been bitten, police said of the May 14 incident.
Police visited the scene and announced that an investigation is ongoing to establish the cause of the death.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
In Lungalunga, Nairobi, a worker collapsed and died in a factory in an incident.
The
victim, aged 30, had been contracted to work at the factory manufacturing flour
when he collapsed and died.
Witnesses told police Yawa Musa Jela had developed breathing difficulties before he collapsed and died.
Police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending
autopsy and other investigations.
And in Suba, Homa Bay, a teenage girl was killed in an attack by an unknown assailant in their house.
Police said a second victim was admitted to the hospital following an attack in Orlando village.
It was established that the children were asleep in the house at around 11 pm on Tuesday when an unknown person opened the door unnoticed and stabbed them randomly.
They
were rescued by their parents, who were asleep in the main house, after they
raised an alarm.
The assailant escaped immediately after the incident. No murder weapon was recovered, and no arrest has been made, police said. The motive is yet to be known.
An
investigation was launched into the incident as the body was moved to the mortuary
pending autopsy.
In Bondo, Siaya County, the body of a man was found on the roadside after a suspected murder.
Police said the incident happened in Atilili village. The body was found with forehead injuries suspected to have been inflicted using a blunt object.
Police moved the body to Bondo Sub-County Hospital mortuary, awaiting identification and postmortem.
In Karungu, Nyatike, Migori County, police said they are investigating murder in a murder case where the body of a man was found floating on Lake Victoria.
The body was retrieved, and on examination, it was established that it had visible injuries at the back of the head and on the right side of the head.
The body was moved to the mortuary for postmortem and identification.
