The requiem mass of the late Kasipul MP Charles Were Ong'ondo is currently underway at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands.
Mourners at the requiem service observed a black dress code with a touch of orange, reflecting the solemnity of the occasion and the representation of the Late MP as a member of ODM.
The mood at the service was sombre and reflective, marked by quiet reverence and shared grief as attendees paid their final respects.
The body of the late MP arrived at 1:40 pm at the Church
premises in a black hearse.
It was escorted by Members of Parliament, many allied to the ODM party, into the church.
Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi and Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kalum led
the pallbearers in carrying the body of the late MP.
