Seven suspects believed to be behind a string of robberies in Naivasha town and its environs were arrested following a police operation.
According to DCI, the police acted on a tip-off.
"Detectives and officers from Naivasha Police Station intercepted the suspects in Naivasha town as they travelled in a grey Mazda Demio," DCI said in a statement on X.
"During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered a Retay Falcon Pistol concealed under the rear back left seat."
While the Retay Falcon Pistol is not capable of firing live ammunition, it is suspected to have been used to threaten and intimidate victims during robberies.
The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
They are expected to be processed and charged in court.
