All you need to know about Radio Africa’s Songa Play App

Are you commuting to work or going about your daily business and can’t seem to find something entertaining? We all have such days.

However, with Radio Africa’s new streaming platform, Songa Play, you are assured of absolute entertainment throughout your day.

Songa Play is a streaming platform that can be accessed by visiting www.songaplay.com to listen live.

You can also download it from the Play Store or PlayApp and sign in using your email address and username.

The application boasts of a user-friendly interface that is easy to access from your smartphone, desktop or laptop.

You can simply open the application, select the segment you want, and enjoy your favourite Radio Africa radio shows, local and international podcasts, and mixes from a variety of different DJs.

On the Songa Play interface, there is a segment for mixes, radios, podcasts, home, and your profile.

You can access the highlights of their favourite segments, find all the station mixes live on the platform, listen to their favourite station live and chat with Radio Africa Group straight from the platform.

Songa Play allows you to search for a podcast; if you don't find it, it will be fetched within 24 hours.

Kenyans can stream live Radio shows on Radio Africa's stations and other radio stations across the world.

Here's  what you can listen to on Songa Play: 

Live shows 

Gukena Radio, East FM, Kiss FM, Classic 105, Radio Jambo, HBR 103.5 and Smooth FM.

DJ mixes 

Some of the DJ mixes in Songa Play are DJ Perez 254, DJ Namosky, DJ Steno, DJ Jesse Ke, Andy Young, DJ Kace, and the HBR Mixtapes, among many others.

Local and International Radio Stations

On the homepage, you can either choose to listen to local radio stations or International radio stations.

Some of them include Radio Africa's stations, Gengetone Radio, Radio 254, Jesus is Lord Radio, Grace Radio, Family Radio 316, Radio 2Waumini, Radio Neema, MWAKI FM, Hope FM and Mbaitu FM among many others.

International Radio stations, you are required to pick an international country you would like to listen to their radio stations.

RAG's radio shows 

Some of the shows to find in the application are Radio Jambo's Patanisho, Toboa Siri, and Deadbeat.

Lovers of Classic FM can access The Kasheshe Podcast, Maina and Kingangi in the Morning, and the Confessional, among others.

Local and International Podcasts 

Some of the podcasts in Songa Play are Power Hour, Give Me Strength, the Doctor's Kitchen Podcast, Running Commentary, Family Trips, All Fantasy, the Endless Honeymoon, Getting Curious and How to Own the Room, among many others.

The podcasts have been organised under different themes, including Mental Health Podcasts, Parenting Podcasts, Podcasts for women, Marketing Podcasts, Wrestling Podcasts and Crime Podcasts among other categories.

This allows users to easily find the categories of podcasts they are looking for.
