All road leading to State House closed as pedestrians, motorists denied access

All roads leading to State House, Nairobi, have remained closed even as protests kick off in some towns in the country.

Mamlaka Road has been blocked near the University Way Roundabout.

No motorist or pedestrian is allowed to access the Processional Way.

All the main gates to the State House have been blocked. Police tanks are erected around the premises.

Water canons are stationed around the State House amid heavy police deployment.

Police are taking no chances with every vehicle attempting to access State House Road turned away.

Only security and media vehicles are given access.
