MPs evacuate families, spend night in guarded hotel

Lawmakers at the forefront of pushing the Finance Bill  feared they could be targeted

Its said that the power of the people is greater than the people in power. Well, MPs experienced this first hand on Tuesday after protesters laid siege in Parliament. Some MPs who were at the forefront of pushing the Finance Bill had their families evacuated after intelligence they could be targeted. Many MPs from Central Kenya reportedly spent the night in heavily guarded city hotels. But despite getting some temporary relief, the sources said they could not catch any sleep over fears their properties could be on the line.
