Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir has re-assigned the County Chief Officers.
In a communication issued on Thursday, some 10 CCOs were re-assigned to their posts.
The officers include Ali Shariff (Transport and Infrastructure), Pauline Oginga (Trade, Tourism and Culture), Gloria Mwasi (Educational and Vocational Training), Albert Keno (Water, Climate Change and Natural Resources) and Marian Mapenzi (Lands, Urban Planning and Housing).
Others are Rukiya Abdulrahman (Public Health), Roselyn Randu (Blue Economy, Agriculture and Livestock), Abdalla Daleno (Government and Serikali Mtaani), Swaleh Mwalizuma (Finance and Investment/Executive) and Hamid Nanda (Environment and Solid Waste Management).
The move was done to structure the County Government to fulfil the Governor's solemn promises to the people of Mombasa.
Besides the re-assignment, Nassir directed that the order supersedes any prior executive order on the organisation of government.
Additionally, the portfolio function of Public Beach Management shall henceforth be managed together with Parks under the Department of Water, Climate Change and Natural Resources.
"The portfolio function of Public Works shall henceforth be managed under the Department of Transport and Infrastructure, organisation of the County Government of Mombasa," the order reads in part.
Any other assignments or re-assignments made and not stated in the Thursday order will remain in force.
