Ruto arrives at Washington DC's St Andrews Air Force Base

President William Ruto has arrived in Washington DC ahead of engagements.

The President will be officially received and accorded full ceremonial state honours.

He will then have extensive engagements at Capitol Hill, where he will meet a bipartisan congressional delegation, the black Congressional Caucus and the bipartisan caucus of the Senate.

The President was accompanied by the first Lady Mama Rachel Ruto.

They were received by First Lady Jill Biden.

Ruto's three-day State visit to the U.S. officially kicks off today.
