KPLC lists 5 counties to experience power interruption, Thursday

Nairobi, West Pokot and Kisumu among counties to be affected

Kenya Power has announced power interruption on Thursday in select areas across five counties.

A public notice dispatched Wednesday evening said the interruptions would be effected for eight hours between 9 am and 5 pm.

Counties to be affected by the power interruption include Nairobi, West Pokot, Kisumu, Nyeri and Laikipia.

Nairobi

Areas to be affected in Nairobi include Chemilil Road, UoN Parklands, Kipkabus Road, Part of Ngara Road, Part of Kipande Road, Chandarana S/Market, Part of Mushembi Road, Museum Headquarters, Wetlands Road, GTC, Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic Bank and adjacent customers.

Other areas in Nairobi to have power interruptions are Mutuini Primary, Manyatta Road, Saigoini, Mutuini Police, Mutego Village, Beth Mugo Secondary School, Kabiria Road Primary, Kivuli Centre, Cabby Centre and adjacent customers.

West Pokot 

Areas to be affected in West Pokot include Ortum, Sebit, Sina, Kerelwa, Marich Pass, Sigor, Lomut, Sarmach, Kainuk and adjacent customers.

Kisumu

Areas to be affected in Kisumu include Wildor, Chiga Kalusi, Nyamonge, Topm Owuor, Mayienya, Chiga Market, Obumba, Kasese, Masawa, Kasarani, Bungu, Rweya Chiefs Camp, Anywang’ and adjacent customers.

Nyeri

Parts of Nyeri to be affected by power interruption are George, Muruguru Booster, Marua, Ndakaini, FK Resort, Kinguka, Rukandu, Gacihi, Kuguru, Kiamuiru, Kigera, Githiru C/Fact, Kahiga, Gikunju Maternity and adjacent customers.

Laikipia 

Areas to be affected in Laikipia include Mukima Centre, KHE, Nyariginu, Murungai, Balungi Farm, Kwa Mwaura, Mukima Pri, Beisa Hotel, St. Jude and adjacent customers.
