Deputy Comptroller of the State House Simon Mwangi Kamau-Gikuru has expressed gratitude over his appointment to the position.

In a statement on Wednesday, Gikuru vowed to do his work diligently and make young people proud of it.

"I thank His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto most sincerely for according me the chance to serve as the Deputy Comptroller of State House and more so for believing in young people," he said.

"I shall put my best foot forward & make my fellow youth proud as I serve our great country."

Gikuru was chosen for the role after the President re-established the office.

The move was done with the approval of the Public Service Commission.

Gikuru is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over a decade of experience in law, management, strategic planning, policy formulation, financial administration, consultancy, logistics, and conflict resolution.

He is the immediate former Secretary General of the Amani National Congress Party.

He has previously worked as a Managing Associate at Chege Kamau & Company Advocates and as the Group Managing Director of Amoo Holdings International Limited, a regional logistics firm that had operations in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and DRC.

Ruto stated that he is confident that he will contribute enormously towards the realisation of the shared aspirations for.
