Man sustains testicular injuries over Sh1,800 debt in Kisii

Police say the victim is stable awaiting specialised treatment

A man is undergoing treatment at a hospital within Kisii South after being attacked over an alleged Sh1,800 debt.

The victim, 42, was on Wednesday around 10 am attacked by five people—three male and two female.

The money was owed to the man by one of the two ladies, who attacked him at Obwari village in Boroko Sub County, Bomaria Location within Kisii county. 

Police said the perpetrators, who were well known to their victim, inflicted deep cuts to his testicles. 

"The said victim was also hit on the upper jaw of his mouth," the police said.

The man was rescued by good Samaritans who took him to a hospital in Gesongo, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The incident was reported by his sister to the police at Igonga station.

Police said the victim is in a stable condition awaiting to be referred for specialised treatment.
