A man has been found dead in Kangundo, Machakos County.
The deceased's decomposing body was reportedly discovered by a passer-by who raised an alarm leading to locals' response Saturday morning.
Eyewitnesses said the body that was lying at a thicket along Tala - Kangundo road within Airport village was mutilated beyond recognition.
"The body is mutilated beyond recognition, it has maggots. The deceased's one leg and a hand are also missing," an eyewitness told the Star.
Locals thronged the scene where the body was lying for viewing.
Police were yet to get to the scene by press time.
