Busia, Bungoma to be hit with power interuptions Saturday

Kenya Power said it's to allow for maintenance between 8am-5pm.

Kenya Power has notified residents of Bungoma and Busia counties that some areas will go without power on Saturday.

In a power maintenance notice Friday evening, the company said the scheduled power outage will occur between 8am and 3pm in select areas within Bungoma County and between 8am and 5pm in some areas in Busia County.

Customers to be affected in Bungoma County, it said, are those within Wananchi and Kwa Dinah localities.

Establishments to be affected include St Teresa, Lavington estate, St Mary’s, St Angela Matisi Water Treatment and Matulo.

Others are Milo Kuuywa, Khalumuli, Ngwelo, Munyikana, Malaha market, Sirisia, Kituni, Malaha Kingdom hospital and the adjacent customers.

In Busia, areas to be affected lie within the locality of Nambale DC and Lugulu.

They include Esalwa Secondary school, Rabuor market, Sagam hospital, Rawa ACK, Mindhine Polytechnic, Omindo Primary school, Gongo health centre and Migosi Primary school.

Madende, Namahindi, Mungatsi and the adjacent customers and residents will also be affected by the scheduled power interruption.
