DAN MAANZO: No option for Azimio principals but to stick together

If they don’t stay united, Ruto will win again and suffering will continue.

In Summary
  • If they decide to split, they will betray millions of Kenyans and Kenyans will never forgive them for that.

  • Kenyans are suffering and their only hope now is in Azimio forming the next government in 2027.

The decision of whether Azimio is going to collapse or not lies with the principals.

If they decide to disagree, then Azimio will collapse but if they decide to stay together and accommodate each other, then Azimio will remain.

But, what I know, [is that] Azimio principals have no other option but to remain united. That is the only way they will rescue Kenyans from this regime.

If they decide to split, they will betray millions of Kenyans and Kenyans will never forgive them for that.

Kenyans are suffering and their only hope now is in Azimio forming the next government in 2027.

Anything short of that will be a big blow to Kenyans.

Kenyans want taxes to come down.

They want the cost of living to come down.

They want to feel they are in Kenya.

That feeling cannot come with this regime still in place.

Azimio leaders, just like any other politicians, have their own interests. They are there to survive. But at the same time, their individual interests should not override the bigger picture.

They must remain united and committed to the course.

Any iota of a split or betrayal will mean that President William Ruto wins the 2027 general election.

Azimio must be smart.

Raila must field a winning line-up.

We cannot do the same thing year in, year out and expect different results. The principals must be honest with each other and agree on the candidate who will win the seat for us.

For now, obviously, it is important that each party is strengthened. If we don’t strengthen individual parties, we will be lying to ourselves.

That is why Raila Odinga has been moving around. Last week he was in Western and especially Bungoma because of the Moses Wetang’ula factor.

He is now moving to the Coast.

As Wiper, we are also going to do the same thing because it’s strong political parties that will win the presidency for Azimio.

Again, Azimio principals have no option but to stick together. Their strength and ability to beat Ruto is in their unity.
