Uhuru makes surprise visit in Kalonzo's Mwingi turf

The former President has kept a low profile since he finished his term.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday joined Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka for a church service.

The two leaders were attending a fundraiser at Full Gospel Church in Mwingi. 

Uhuru and Kalozo arrived in one chopper where they were warmly by the  locals.

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya,  Senators Godfrey Osotsi and  Enock Wambua are among other leaders in attendance. 

The former President has kept a low profile since he finished his term and handed over power in September 2022.

In July, the former Head of State drove himself to the Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka centre in Karen where he joined other Azimio leaders in the interdenominational prayer service

The prayer service by the opposition doubled up as a mass to mourn supporters who lost their lives in the anti-government protests.

It was the first time he was publicly attending a function led by the Azimio team.

The last time he attended a public function was during the Jubilee National Delegates Convention (NDC) at the Ngong Racecourse early this year.
