Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has waded into the ongoing debate on calls to impeach Public Service CS Moses Kuria.

In a statement on Wednesday, the ODM MP called on President William Ruto to sack his entire cabinet.

However, the MP said the President should spare four of his current CSs to be part of the caretaker cabinet.

"The entire cabinet must go and leave Musalia Mudavadi, CS Susan Nakhumicha, Kithure Kindiki, and Njuguna Ndungu on the caretaker desk," Amisi added.

Going further, the ODM legislator called out those calling for the impeachment of CS Kuria, asking them where they were when the MPs were debating on the vetting report.

MP Amisi made it clear that the Azimio coalition will not join the wrangles facing the CSs and the senators.

"Where were you when we in the Azimio vetting team presented a report against cabinet nominees last year? You were ululating on top of your voices. Azimio will not be part of a rich kids' baseball game," he added.

His statement comes after Senators from both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza on Wednesday called for the impeachment of  Public Service CS Moses Kuria.

This was after the CS made remarks against the Senators over the ongoing impeachment of Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

The Senators led by Leader of Majority Aaron Cheruyiot and his counterpart Stewart Madzayo warned that Kuria had attempted to interfere with the impeachment hearing.

Senator Cheruyiot claimed the CS was an embarrassment to the Kenya Kwanza government and President William Ruto.

Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang called on their counterparts at the National Assembly to bring the impeachment motion as it is the August House which is mandated to do so by law.

"I  want to urge the members of the other house because they are the ones who have the responsibility of censoring and sending serious judicial notice of the conduct of this particular cabinet secretary," he said.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna on his part posed:

"One of the things that I asked myself is just how much embarrassment does the President have to endure?" he posed.

Sifuna called on the Senators to take action before, more embarrassment came their way.

On Tuesday night, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi had cautioned the CS over his comments on the proceedings in the Senate on the impeachment of Meru Governor.

As a result, he cautioned  Kuria against making any further comments on the impeachment, failure to which he will be summoned.

“I, therefore, caution Moses Kuria, Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, and all other persons to desist from adversely making utterances whether written or spoken with the conduct of the impeachment process which may prejudice the just and fair disposal of the present matter,” Kingi noted.

On his X page, CS Moses Kuria had earlier said that the issues presented against Meru Governor Mwangaza do not warrant her impeachment.
