Adhiambo is optimistic they will avoid relegation despite picking a mere five points from seven matches. ''We worked on our attacking during training and made improvements in our Sunday game against Wolverines," added Adhiambo, who stood in for coach Constant Wakhura.  He believes the two victories recorded so far have boosted their confidence.

''The two games have given us hope because the girls are now very confident. We are looking to maintain our recent form and improve more on the attack in a bid to create more chances in our remaining matches,'' said Adhiambo.

The assistant coach added that winning the Mombasa Hockey Festival also made a difference in his team and served as a build-up match for their subsequent league matches.

Blazers with 27 points lead the log ahead of Lakers with 17 points and Amira Sailors third with 16 points.

The University of Nairobi are bottom of the table with three points.  The Adhiambo-led side will look to continue their momentum when they face Strathmore Ladies on November 19 at City Park Stadium.
