King Charles III and Queen Camilla were treated to Maasai dances and songs as they joined other leaders for the state banquet.

As they walked through the red carpet, Maasai dancers were positioned on the sidelines singing and dancing their cultural songs.

The two high-profile leaders were in the company of President William Ruto and Mama Rachel as they walked through the red carpet.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Midavadi and his spouse Tessy Mudavadi followed the leaders closely.

Several leaders including Azimio La Umoja principal Raila Odinga also joined the heads of state for the colorful event.

The King and Queen Camilla arrived in Kenya on Monday night for a four-day state visit to the country.

Their Majesties' visit is at the invitation of President Ruto and comes as Kenya prepares to celebrate 60 years of independence. 

The visit is the first official visit by Their Majesties to an African nation.

It is also the first to be a Commonwealth member state since its coronation in May 2023.

Their Majesties visit is aimed at celebrating the warm relationship between the two countries and the strong and dynamic partnership they continue to forge.

During their four-day visit, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will visit Nairobi City County, Mombasa County, and surrounding areas.

The King will take time during the visit to deepen his understanding of the wrongs suffered in this period by the people of Kenya.
