A murder suspect who was arrested in Ngong Kajiado County is set to be arraigned at the Ngong law courts on Monday afternoon.
The man is a suspect in the murder of Peter Kinuthia, 24, that took place on Sunday morning.
Kajiado North sub-county police commander Abduba Hussein said the suspect was arrested from his house in Mathare slums.
“Detectives from Ngong raided his house and found him sleeping. We will take him to court on Monday, September 18, 2023,” Hussein said.
The police said the suspect, who has been avoiding arrest, is facing several counts of allegedly injuring people with a knife in the Ngong area.
The suspect, after he was arrested, told the police he did not know why he was taken in.
“He looked inebriated when we arrested him. He had not even locked his house at the time of the arrest,” said one of the officers.
