In a statement on Tuesday, Gachagua admired the neat and beautiful facilities at the park.

"At El Virrey Park, Bogotá DC, Colombia, it was inspiring and energising to exercise in the neat and beautiful facility alongside several fitness enthusiasts in preparation for a busy schedule of my official visit to the Latin American country."
Gachagua said that such well-maintained spaces at the heart of towns and cities are important in encouraging healthy lifestyles and productivity of residents and visitors.
He said the rapid urbanisation in the country, accelerated by devolution, calls for the establishment and maintenance of such recreation facilities to institutionalise healthy living.
