Series leader Michael Karanga returns to the country to hunt Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) points starting Friday at Limuru Open at the par 72 Limuru golf club.
The three-day championships will be played in the 54-hole tournament.
Karanga last played locally in the Nakuru leg where he won the Coronation Trophy and faces an acid test against rival Taimur Malik who won the Mt. Kenya Championships last weekend.
He Played in the Zone Four championships in Ethiopia, early June before heading to rub shoulders at the Manchester World Amateur golf championships in the United Kingdom later that month.
Karanga sits top of the table with 670 points-200 points better off than second-placed Kenya Railways' John Lejirma who boast of 470 points.
Kiambu’s Elvis Muigua sits third with 326 points.
The Kiambu golfer has won five meetings across the country.
Karanga has won the Sigona Bowl in January, toppled his rivals at the Windsor Classic in March before cruising to victory at Muthaiga Open, also in March.
The decorated golfer clinched the Railway Invitation title at Kenya Railways and won the Coronation Trophy in Nakuru.
Karanga has so far missed three events, Ruirun Open, Goldfields Trophy (Kakamega) and Mt Kenya Championships in Nyeri but still leads with a bigger margin..
