Police are investigating an incident in which a 38-year-old woman died in a fire incident in Karura Kanyungu area, Kiambu County.
Detectives handling the weekend incident said it affected a three-bedroom house.
The body of Rachael Wambui Muriba aged 38 was discovered having been burnt beyond recognition inside the house long after the fire had been contained.
Police said nothing was salvaged from the house and the cause of the incident is yet to be established.
The remains of the woman were moved to the mortuary pending further probe and autopsy.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man whose body was found outside a clinic in Lungalunga slums.
The man identified as Charles Mwangi Muirigi is suspected to have been abandoned there or was trying to access Sinai Outpatient Rehabilitation Centre.
The body had no visible injuries at the time the body was discovered and moved to the mortuary.
In Darajani area within Kibera slums, the body of one Zakayo Khairwa Ambani, 65, was found lying across the railway line beneath the bridge.
Police said the man slid and fell from the top of the railway bridge, which is about 12 feet down, where he got injured on his head and died on the spot.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.
In Kabete area, the decomposed body of Phillip Ngalia Imbali, 28, was found in his house.
The man had not been seen for days prompting his neighbours to check in his house that had been locked from the inside.
The man stayed alone and had not been seen for three days.
The lifeless decomposing body was lying on the bed when locals broke in to check on him.
Police were called and moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.
