Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga will on Monday witness the swearing-in of 15 Chief Officers to various dockets in her administration.
Among those to be sworn in is former Star journalist Isaac Victor Ongiri who will take charge of Administration and Devolution dockets.
Ongiri, who has also previously worked for the Nation and Standard newspapers, has been serving as the Director of Communications in Kisii County Government.
Elijah Obiny Dede will take over the Cooperatives Development and Marketing while Bernard Ouru Nyobange will assume office as the Chief Officer in the Department of Roads and Transport.
Others are Owino Hannington Day (Lands and Physical Planning), Collins Onyango Obango (Housing and Urban Development), Jack Maurice Obonyom (Blue Economy and Fisheries), and Bernard Okoth Omwanda (Livestock Development).
Ombok Mildred Judith will assume office as the Chief Officer for Gender, Inclusivity, and Women Empowerment, Wilson Juma Ochola[Economic Planning and Budgets], Maxwell Majiwa Omenda [Irrigation], and Ellyas Orondo Oketch[Investment].
In the Mining docket, Diana Anyango Ongere will take charge after the oath, Kenneth Odhiambo[Stakeholder Management] while career journalist Carren Atieno Otieno will take over the communication portfolio.
Wanga made the appointments on June 22 after the successful approval of the 15 by the county assembly.
