The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has yet again warned members of the public to be wary of fake jobs being advertised by cons.

The Authority, in a statement on Saturday, said all available jobs are only advertised through their official website or on the newspapers.

"It has come to our attention that some unscrupulous persons are defrauding members of the public through false claims that they can secure employment at Kenya Airports Authority.

"All job opportunities available at the authority are officially advertised in leading daily newspapers and posted on the KAA official website," the statement read.

The warning was a response to social media posts and posters announcing lucrative jobs available at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and the agency.

In the posts, Kenyans are being asked to apply for jobs that include internal auditors, human resource managers, drivers, cleaners, nurses, electricians, flight dispatchers, and security guards among others.

This is not the first time KAA has come out to flag job posters as fake.

Cases of individuals putting out fake job adverts using state agency logos to con unsuspecting victims of money have been on the rise.

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) was recently forced to issue a similar caution to the public.

In a statement, JSC said several fraudsters were out to con job-seekers who are looking for opportunities.

"The Judicial Commission are pleading to the public to take note that, formal communication from the authorized  Judicial Service Commission will be made through their official lines and their email address, which is 020-2333191 and 020-2739180 " the statement read.
