A Member of Parliament and Cabinet Secretary are said to be in a tussle over a palatial home at Amara Ridge in Karen.

Armed officers are said to have stormed the home and stopped some ongoing works under unclear circumstances.

Mary Mureu who claimed to be the owner of the house accused the CS who had initially expressed interest in using the police to intimidate her and forcefully take the house.

The house, she said, is being sold at Sh120 million but the CS made an offer of Sh90 million which they turned down.

“I travelled to the US for my daughter's graduation and when I came back on Wednesday, I brought my people to clean the house and mow the lawn…to my shock as you are, I found it occupied," she told Citizen TV on Friday night.

The CS, according to Mureu, is yet to sign a sale agreement or make any commitment to paying the required amount.

"There is no agreement signed whatsoever. No transaction has taken place. This house still belongs to me and my husband,” she said.

Mureu also said she would file a report with the police and was considering suing the CS for trespass and damages.

The CS, she said, was not around at the time of the fracas.
