Azimio leader Raila Odinga is currently chairing a special Parliamentary Group for opposition MPs to review the status of bipartisan talks and take a position on the Finance Bill,2023.
The meeting is being attended by top Azimio honchos including co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Martha Karua(Narc Kenya) and Eugene Wamalwa of DAP-K.
Members of the National Assembly and the Senate are getting a brief from the principal before addressing the media at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation.
However Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the leader of the Jubilee party-a member of Azimio-is not present at the meeting.
The meeting is being held at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation.
After the meeting, the Azimio leaders are expected to affirm their opposition to the Finance Bill that has triggered uproar and opposition from across the board.
The leaders will whip all opposition MPs to vote against the bill when it is tabled on the floor of the house.
The leadership will also agree if the bipartisan talks will resume after Azimio suspended them for a week to push Kenya Kwanza to cede some ground on controversial issues.
