Ruto to jet out to UK today evening

President William Ruto is expected to travel to the United Kingdom on Friday evening.

A statement released by the State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed said the president will be joining other world leaders at the coronation of King Charles III on Saturday.

"At the invitation of the King, President Ruto will attend the historic event to be held at Westminster Abbey and presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby," the statement reads in part.

After the coronation, Ruto is expected to hold bilateral meeting with The Netherlands and Israel.

On Sunday, he will make an official visit to The Netherlands, where he will meet with His Majesty King Willem-Alexander.

The discussions will explore new areas of cooperation and strengthen existing partnerships between the two countries in critical areas such as trade and Investment, development cooperation and multilateral fora.

Ruto will then travel to Israel for a two-day State visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

During the visit, the two leaders will hold high-level bilateral meetings and discuss areas of mutual interest, including technology and Innovation, manufacturing, agriculture and defence cooperation.

The President is expected to visit several agricultural projects in the country renowned for its mega strides in irrigation.

While there, he will also meet with the Israeli business community to pitch for their partnership and investment in Kenya.
