Pastor Ezekiel Odero's followers on Thursday gathered to celebrate his release outside the Shanzu Law Courts.

The New Life Prayer Centre and Church congregants were waving handkerchiefs as they sang "Ni maombi si uchawi (It's prayers, not witchcraft)."

The followers lifted the pastor shoulder high while he spotted a broad smile.

On Tuesday the church members assembled outside the court and prayed for his release.

They carried placards inscribed, "Government, save thousands of souls by only freeing Pastor Ezekiel Odero."

Earlier, the court released the pastor on a Sh3 million bond or cash bail of Sh1.5 million.

He was ordered to report to a police station once a week or as required by State.

Odero is also not supposed to talk about anything about the Shakahola issue.

The Mavueni preacher is accused of conspiracy to murder, crimes against humanity, abduction, child cruelty and money laundering.
