Bodies of five children have been exhumed from Shakahola village.

This now rises the death toll of the cult to 95.

The government has also deployed more security personnel to comb through the vast Shakahola forest.

This is to rescue any remaining followers of controversial televangelist Paul Mackenzie who could still be alive.

On Monday, 26 bodies were exhumed-the highest number of bodies exhumed in a day.

According to the Inspector General of the police Japhet Koome, 32 survivors have been retrieved from the vast 800-acre forest and are receiving medical aid.

The exhumation is currently ongoing even as Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki visited the scene.

At least 213 people have been reported missing as the investigation into a macabre cult continues.

On Tuesday, Kenya Red Cross said it had set up tracing and counselling desks at the Malindi Subcounty Hospital for the Shakahola response.
