MP Pukose performs complex surgeries at Endebess hospital

Endebess MP Robert Pukose on Saturday stepped out of his parliamentary duties to perform complex surgeries for his constituents.

The MP, a medical doctor and consultant surgeon, performed a number of surgeries at the Endebess Sub-County Hospital as he moved to pay back to society.

The lawmaker who also chairs the National Assembly Committee on Health, said he was doing the surgeries free of charges his constituents.

''Beside the responsibilities bestowed to me by my constituents that is oversight,representation & legislation I have today set aside time to conduct minor and major surgeries to patients that had been booked for me at Endebess SCH with fellow colleagues in the profession,'' the MP wrote on his social media pages.

The MP said the service aims at ''my great people who cannot afford medical expenses on complications that need surgical procedures as I do them completely free to anybody.''

'' As the Chair of Health Committee NA we are working with the @nhifkenya & @MOH_Kenya to have an affordable healthcare cover and Universal Healthcare streamlined,'' he said.

Pukose asked those with anomalies that need surgical procedures to liaise with the Endebess Sub-County Hospital to be booked for surgery as this is a continuous exercise to help the residents.
