City lawyer Donald Kipkorir on Thursday visited President William Ruto at State House and renewed their friendship.

In a statement, Kipkorir said he was invited by the President to visit him.

The lawyer drummed up support for Azimio leader Raila Odinga during the August polls.

He said they reminisced on their friendship that goes back to 1992.

"I was given delicious short ribs without wine! It was a humbling experience meeting the President and repairing our friendship," Kipkorir said.

The lawyer added that Ruto inquired about his ailing mother and the situation of his home village, Cheptonge.

Kipkorir was accompanied by former speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi.

"Ruto informed me of his vision to transform the country in line with the Asian Tigers and that he was going to strengthen our bilateral relations with them. I implored him to also emulate Thailand 5.0 Economic Plan," he said.

Recently, Kipkorir advised Raila to accept President Ruto's olive branch.

In his open letter to Raila, Kipkorir said Raila had many times been given the chance to take the leadership of the country but each time he has 'squandered' it.

He went on to say that Raila misused all his chances by working with the same people and using the same tactics and strategies, but he now has another chance to change the course of history.

"Your Excellency, the gods are jealous. They hardly give any the opportunity to change the course of History for the better. To those that wanted to be like gods like King Sisyphus of Ephyra of mythological Greece, they were condemned to the eternal punishment of rolling up the stone!" Kipkorir said.

"But the heavens have been generous to you. Time and again, you have been given opportunity after opportunity to take leadership of this country. But each time, you squandered the chance by using the same people, the same tactics, the same strategy and trusting the system to work. The gods are immortal but have no infinite patience. You have been given yet another chance."
