Former Azimio La Umoja Chief Agent Saitabao Kanchory now says Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga is both Kenya's problem and solution.
Kanchory said that Raila has the influence and will to challenge the government.
"The paradox and parody of the matter are that Baba (Raila) is both the solution and the problem facing Kenya," he said In his book titled Why Baba Is Not The 5th.
"The solution is because only he has the political muscle to challenge government excesses and the problem since he is neither taking Kenyans to the promised land nor allowing someone else to do it."
Kanchory described Raila as a historian and a politician.
He alludes that Raila seemed not to have understood what Ghana's founding president Kwame Nkrumah meant when he said seek ye first the political kingdom.
Kanchory said Bahamian televangelist the late Dr Myles Munroe draws a clear distinction between how the rich and the poor relate.
"According to Dr Munroe, for the rich, any game of chance - be it politics or gambling - is a sport they can afford to play and lose. For the poor, it is not a game; it is a matter of life and death," he said.
Kanchory said the older Raila gets, the more hands-off he seems to be, leaving him and millions of supporters at the mercy of his opportunistic handlers.
"At his age, Raila Odinga is only as good as the advice he gets which, sadly, seems to be going from bad to worse," he said.
"Unlike many of his supporters who continue to give their hearts and souls to the cause, Raila and his handlers have, over time, learnt not to get too emotionally entangled in politics and have devised creative ways of shielding themselves from the elements and vagaries of this cruel game."
The former Azimio agent Chief said for Raila, it is always aluta continua (the struggle continues) without victoria 'e certa (victory is certain).
