Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has condemned the Azimio demonstrations, which are being led by Raila Odinga.

He said the calls to have countrywide protests will breed anarchy in the country.

Mudavadi said the Azimio leader's call is economic sabotage at a time when the government is working out plans that will help resuscitate the economy.

“For Azimio, your credentials around democracy are going up in flames. Raila, Orengo, and others with whom we worked before, what you are pursuing now is not democracy, what you are pursuing now is anarchy,” he said.

“I am telling them anarchy breeds anarchy and when you sow hatred in the long run you will reap hatred. You cannot plant anarchy and expect to get something else.”

Mudavadi spoke during a thanksgiving prayer service by Malava Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi and President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet at Silungai Primary School in Mukhonje, Kakamega county.

The Prime CS said the weekly protests by Azimio have resulted in suppressing the economy and scaring away investors.

He also termed the demos by Raila a diversionary tactic from the real issues affecting the nation.

Mudavadi said Kenya is the heartbeat and biggest economy in the East African region and the opposition wants to undermine the economies of East Africa through selfish desires.

He added that the Azimio leadership is painting Kenya as a bad neighbour within the East African Region Trade belt.

“Raila you are no longer speaking about democracy you are actually an economic saboteur. When you tell your supporters to block the international highways, what message are you sending to regional business partners like Tanzania and Uganda? Did Tanzanians or Ugandans participate in the August 2022 Kenya elections?” paused Mudavadi.

Mudavadi insisted that elections are over and Kenyans made their decision on the ballot, and the supreme court unanimously upheld President Ruto’s victory.

“We are asking Raila, Kalonzo, Karua, and their team, how do demonstrations bring down the cost of living? Raila is a leader who is out to satisfy his personal interests at the expense of millions of Kenyans,” he as Mudavadi.

Mudavadi further said that the international community for long, has stomached Raila’s theatrics and now it is time that Kenyans understand he has been on a mission of self-enrichment.
