“We are asking our brothers to give us time, give our President time to implement his manifesto. Even the Auditor General audits books of accounts after one year, we are only 6 months into government,” he added.

The former Kakamega Senator added that the government has five years in office and all cannot be delivered within six months.

“Why don’t you give him time, so that after five years, you will ask him… But now, he (Ruto) will have excuses to give us,” Malala said.

Responding to the statement, Narok Senator Ledama Olekina said that the government has demonstrated that they are after their own pockets.

He explained that through the budgets, President Ruto and his Deputy are after furnishing their offices at the expense of common mwanainchi.

"We have seen money being spent on churches every Sunday and allocations being put in the budget to upgrade the presidency offices, while people are sleeping hungry and homeless due to bandits," Ledama added.
